Intune Music Songwriting Instructors, Derrick Tham and Camillie Nah conducted a Lyrics Writing Workshop at Maris Stella High School!

In this workshop, students learnt how to express themselves through songwriting. In the first session, the students are introduced to the basics of lyrics writing and give them the opportunity to rewrite and complete sentences for the song 《小人物的心声》.

In the second session, our instructors assisted the students in refining their lyrics by giving them feedback and guidance on how to improve their writing. The students are provided with the chance to rewrite and complete sentences for the popular songs like, 《小幸运》 by 田馥甄. Besides 《小幸运》, students are also able to choose one song from three popular songs to rewrite: 《小幸运》 by 田馥甄, 《那些年》 by 胡夏, or 《童话》 by 光良.

In the third session, the students continued to work on their lyrics and then start rehearsing for the final presentation. By the end of the workshop, the students have a finished set of lyrics that they can be proud of. In the last 20-30 minutes of the final session, all groups will present their lyrics to showcase what they’ve learned.
