This workshop is in conjunction with Hwa Chong Institution’s 《母语双周》 programme where students are inspired through the XinYao performances and sharing workshop, in the effort of educating them to have a better knowledge in local Singapore music culture and reinforce their passion in the Chinese language!
Through this workshop, they introduced the Xinyao’s history and its music culture, which is unique to Singapore to students at the students at Hwa Chong Institution, in such, the students got to know more about this music culture in Singapore and carry on this knowledge as time passes!
To further the students’ understanding on Xinyao’s songs and culture, and provide an effective and engaging workshop, our instructors also performed various signature and popular Xinyao songs and even invited students up to the stage to sing along with them.
