Sing-At-Home #1
How To Do A Proper Siren for Vocal Warmup!
This ‘Sing-At-Home’ series of teaching videos was conceptualized by Intune Vocal Director Aaron Matthew Lim, in order to help out our singing students who may be stuck at home, or who are unable to come to our music school for lessons. A new video will be released each week, for a series of videos.
This video is also for beginner singers and budding enthusiasts who just want to learn more about singing. 🙂
Today’s Topic: How To Do A Proper Siren (A Very Popular Vocal Warmup!)
A siren is basically a way for us to stretch out our vocal folds in a safe and healthy manner, without causing harm to our folds. Also, a siren helps us to teach our vocal folds to access the high range in our voice without straining or squeezing.
In this video, Aaron will teach us how to do a proper siren, and also show you some of the common pitfalls and mistakes that beginners will make when practising a siren. In this way, you will be able to avoid these few mistakes, and train your voice in a safer and more effective manner.
Watch this video and let us know what you think!
Keep sirening everyone, and please stay safe and healthy! 🙂
